We all know that snake venom is very dangerous and every year thousands of people die just because of snake venom. Most of us do not know what actually happens when a snake bites any human. What snake venom does to our blood ? This clip shows how the venom is being extracted and what it does to the human blood which causes death. A man holds a snake and makes him bite and extract its venom into a bowl. Its a Russell viper snake and it is one of the most dangerous snakes in Asia. You can see the sharp teeth of snake and the venom coming out from them. Men collect his venom into a bowl and the scientist fills the venom into an injection and then drips a single drop of this venom onto a petri dish of blood, and within few seconds the blood clots into a thick chunk of solid matter. It causes low blood pressure and in many cases leads to certain deaths.

Early medical treatment can prevent and reduce the chance of developing the severe complications. Severe pain may last for couple of weeks. And death from septicemia, kidney, respiratory or cardiac failure may occur 1 to 14 days post-bite or even later. The quantity produced by snakes is considerable. For adult snakes venom range is from 130-250 mg to 21-268 mg.
